Employment Notice Kit
Just talk, and get an employment notice checked against minimum wage

Employment Notice Kit is a kit for Claude Code and Codex. Just talk, and get an employment notice checked against minimum wage. It includes 7 fixes for pitfalls the maker hit in real work. Free.
When this helps
You need to issue employment notices, but requirements change often, so old templates miss new rules
What it does
Tell it the name, employment type, start date, workplace and duties, hours and pay, and it drafts an employment notice. Before issuing, it checks the scope of possible changes to workplace and duties, the cap on fixed-term renewals, conversion to indefinite term after 5 years, part-time/fixed-term items such as raises, retirement allowance, a contact point and the complaint-handling contact for treatment differences, and whether pay meets the minimum wage that rises each autumn by prefecture. Items to fix are marked ✗ and items to confirm are marked △. It outputs PDF and Word, keeping prior versions when you issue a renewal or raise. It can also check an existing notice template for gaps, and a ledger tracks every contract's end date, conversion to indefinite term, and minimum-wage shortfalls across staff.
The fixes baked into this kit
- Old templates miss new requirementsMHLW's model form used through September 2026 is missing only the contact point for treatment-difference explanations, so it now warns on the results page when an old template is used
- Mistook the general form for the part-time formIt was telling forms apart by the word 'part' in the law's name (Part-Time and Fixed-Term Workers Act), so it now strips the law's name before classifying
- Couldn't read start/end dates as a contract termA real HR system's 'contract start date / contract end date' wasn't recognised as a contract term, so start date, end date, and employment period are now all treated as the contract term
- Missed the reason for dismissal fieldIt was marking dismissal reasons ✗ even though a 'retirement matters' field existed, so it now marks △ only when the wording is actually missing
- Missed missing hours for fixed overtime payThe fixed-overtime-pay field had no hours listed, so it now marks ✗ whenever hours aren't written
- PDF for a raise's second version silently failedA single-page PDF takes 7-12 seconds and the second version's PDF for a raise was silently dropped, so the wait is now extended, completion is verified, and a failure is reported on the results page
- Minimum wage effective dates were offMinimum wage was cross-checked against all 47 prefectures' FY2026 rates and effective dates, and checks are now split by whether the effective date has passed

FAQ
- What does Employment Notice Kit do?
- Tell it the name, employment type, start date, workplace and duties, hours and pay, and it drafts an employment notice.
- Which AI tools does it work with?
- Claude Code and Codex. Copy the one line on the kit page and paste it into your AI; it pulls in the kit and starts (copying needs a GitHub or Google sign-in).
- Does it cost anything?
- The kit is free. Nothing else in the kit costs extra. The AI tool itself is billed under your own plan.
- How is this different from just asking an AI?
- It already contains the fixes for pitfalls the maker hit in real work: "Old templates miss new requirements", "Mistook the general form for the part-time form", "Couldn't read start/end dates as a contract term", "Missed the reason for dismissal field", "Missed missing hours for fixed overtime pay", "PDF for a raise's second version silently failed", "Minimum wage effective dates were off".
- What do I decide first?
- Three things: Who it's for (name, employment type, start date); Workplace and duties (whether the scope may change); Hours and pay. The AI asks them one at a time.
- Does it handle personal data?
- Yes. Needed (depends what you handle)
