Power of Attorney Kit is a vibe coding kit for Claude Code and Codex. Just talk, and get a power of attorney checked for blanks and overreach. It includes 6 fixes for pitfalls the maker hit in real work. Free.

When this helps

You want to draft a power of attorney, but each office wants different things, and wording easily turns too broad or blank

What it does

Drafts powers of attorney for common Japanese procedures — resident records, family register, seal certificates, registered-matter certificates, tax certificates, pension, banks, mail, shareholder meetings, car registration. Say something like "I'll pick up my mother's resident record" and get the document plus a note of what the agent should bring. It checks for blank fields, overly broad wording such as "all powers", vague items, identity-check and My Number fields, and places that might be licensed professionals' work, and won't hand over a flawed draft. It can also check a power of attorney you received or already use, including hidden text, and keeps a list with records of when each was given, used or revoked.

The fixes baked into this kit

  1. The official form itself says "all powers"Treating every "all powers" as something to fix would have flagged the official form's own "all powers for the vehicle's registration below". Scoped "all powers" is now flagged to verify, while unscoped "all powers" / "full authority" is flagged to fix.
  2. Missed the date blanks in a shareholder-meeting templateThe placeholder "● year ● month ● day" wasn't read as a blank. Now "●" and "〇" both count as blanks, and "leave it to the chair" paired with a vote is flagged to verify, not fix.
  3. Couldn't find the agent under an unusual field labelA municipal example used "the person asked" / "the person who asked" instead of standard labels, so the agent wasn't recognized. The kit now reads those labels too, and notes when a household member can request without a power of attorney.
  4. Printed out a pension power of attorney for signingThe pension office's form requires the principal to fill in every field by hand. Pension cases now produce a model to copy by hand instead of a filled-in document.
  5. Asked an agent to use family register's wide-area issuanceWide-area issuance can't be used by an agent. Mentioning "nearby office" or "wide-area" for family register now gets flagged to verify, and the checklist notes the original won't be returned.
  6. A power of attorney left open at the end, inviting additionsAn official example closed its item list with "nothing further below". Drafts now end with "the above", and received documents without a closing phrase get flagged.

How to use

Just paste this into your AI.

I want to use the nice to have kit "Power of Attorney Kit". Follow https://nicetohave.app/en/g/DVXWZ62R-•••••••••• and set it up.

Works the same in Claude Code or Codex.
Read what this tells your AI to do, before you paste it

If you would rather take the files yourself

Paste the line above and your AI fetches it. If your AI cannot fetch it, or you would rather download it yourself, start here.

Download the kit as a zip

  1. Unpack the zip you downloaded
  2. Open the resulting folder in Claude Code or Codex (in VS Code, "Open Folder")
  3. Type "start building with this kit". The instructions are inside (Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md, Codex reads AGENTS.md)

FAQ

Will the kit decide whether something counts as licensed professionals' work?
No. It flags places that might cross into the work of lawyers, judicial scriveners, tax accountants, administrative scriveners or labor/social security attorneys, but leaves the judgment to a professional or the relevant office.
Can it check a scanned image or PDF of a received power of attorney?
No. Paste the text or hand over a Word file — the kit also reads hidden content like comments and hidden text.
What happens if My Number or a PIN gets typed into the input?
The kit never keeps My Number, PINs, or bank/card numbers. If one appears in the input, it leaves it out and tells you.
Does it work differently for a one-off personal case versus repeated company use?
For a one-off personal case it drafts right away with no setup. For repeated company use, you first decide three things: company or individual, who you usually delegate to, and where to store documents.
Will the kit submit or mail the document to the office?
No. A power of attorney is a signed paper the agent carries to the office in person — submission, mailing and online filing are up to you and the agent.
